On stratified randomized response sampling
In this paper, we propose a new quantitative randomized response model based on Mangat and Singh [7] two-stage randomized response model. We derive the estimator of the sensitive variable mean, and show that our method is more efficient than other randomized response models suggested by Greenberg et al. [3] and Gupta et al. [4] estimators.
متن کاملA stratified unrelated question randomized response model
This 'paper presents a new randomized response model that combines Kim and Warde's (2004) stratified Warner's randomized response technique using optimal allocation with the unrelated question randomized response model. The empirical studies performed show that, for the prior information given, the new model is more efficient in terms of variance (in the case of completely truthful reporting) a...
متن کاملBlindness in Randomized Controlled Trials
In combination with randomization, blinding or masking is an important factor in randomized controlled trials (RCTs), particularly in trials that assess therapeutic effects. Here an attempt is made to explain blindness and why it is important. In clinical trials, blinding is defined as the condition imposed on a study in which study participants, health care providers and assessors collecting o...
متن کاملParameter Estimation in Stratified Cluster Sampling under Randomized Response Models for Sensitive Question Survey
Randomized response is a research method to get accurate answers to sensitive questions in structured sample survey. Simple random sampling is widely used in surveys of sensitive questions but hard to apply on large targeted populations. On the other side, more sophisticated sampling regimes and corresponding formulas are seldom employed to sensitive question surveys. In this work, we developed...
متن کاملThe Calibration for Stratified Randomized Response Estimators
In this paper, we propose the calibration procedure for the variance reduction of the stratified Warner’s randomized response estimators, which suggested by Hong et al. (1994) and Kim and Warde (2004), using auxiliary information at the population level. It is shown that the proposed calibration estimators are more efficient than the ordinary Warner’s estimators.
